Independent Printing Wins National Awards

Independent Printing has been cited for excellence in a national competition among printing companies. The printing company known for producing presentation folders, print products, checks for business and developing solutions to help print distributors sell more, won a 2009 Print Excellence And Knowledge (PEAK) award in the annual competition sponsored by Print Solutions Magazine, published by the Print Services and Distribution Association (PSDA).

Independent Printing company won First Place in the Best Distributor Kit category for the innovative Passport Presentation Solutions, an all-inclusive presentation solutions sales kit that is easy to use and provides distributors with everything they need to sell. Distributors report that the eye-popping colors and design impresses clients from first sight, and with images and dielines of all the products laid out in a pleasing and efficient manner, they can enjoy a carefree sales experience. The contest drew over 230 entries.

The PEAK awards competition is the only one of its kind to recognize companies that comprehensively meet customer needs for printed products. Award winners demonstrate outstanding problem solving, creative approaches to print design and the craft of printing itself. Some award categories reflect outstanding performance in fulfillment, logistics management, cost savings reporting and other services that are required to deliver an end to end product/service combination that solves a client problem or improves a client’s business.

IPC Wins “Most Graphic Appealing” Award

Independent Printing is proud to accept the award for Most Graphic Appealing Small Booth at the 2009 Print Solutions Expo in Navy Pier last week.

For those of you who couldn’t attend, Independent Printing’s booth theme was Sales Improvement, which springs from the sales tools that we offer print distributors to help them in their sales efforts (not to mention a zany TV show in the 90’s). The booth was meant to mimic a workshop, and it included a real 12′ roof truss sitting on two step ladders straddling the tabletop at the back. The folders and print samples were hung on a pegboard and also laid out on a workbench appropriately supported by counter-height saw horses. Our team was properly equipped with safety glasses, tool belts, hammers, samples and plenty of flannel to complete the exhibit.

The award fits naturally in our sphere, as Independent Printing prides itself as being an influential partner in the design community. We produce folders and presentation products for designers and agencies, where attention to concept and detail is of utmost importance.

Hot sales ideas from Print Solutions Expo in Chicago

 

For all of those who didn’t attend, the 2009 Print Solutions Expo was held last week in Navy Pier in Chicago. Numerous suppliers displayed new products and highlighted the best of what the printing industry has to offer. Put on by the PSDA, it is the premier event, and it allows for print distributors and owners to get a chance to network with suppliers and other distributors nationwide.

Independent Printing was there in full force, with Carrie Gorges, Jenny Albiero, John Nagel, Joe Lancour, and Jim Fairbairn from the Sales Team, Steve Vogel from Marketing, and VP of Sales & Marketing Craig Wienkes at Booth #1129 and displaying the hot new offerings.

Frosted Folders
Among the new products on display was the “Frosted Folder,” the next innovation from the Envirofolder® line.  Like the Envirofolder®, the Frosted Folder is made with 100% recycled chipboard to retain eco-friendly marketing, but it also has a white coated front that allows for full color graphics, imagery and accurate color representation without the use of expensive opaque white inks.
